This is a personal piece for me that depicts my PTSD. It also represents the metaphor of overcoming troubled waters.
Inspiration from Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam in the Sistine Chapel
With PTSD, it is a journey to learn that you cannot drown your demons (because your past always carries with you). There is also a biblical aspect to this piece, depicted in the drips of blood that create a cross.
