This is a personal piece that represents my personal journey with PTSD (following a traumatic event).
These are words that have been used to describe me when I’ve become triggered [from my PTSD] since the event. Each time one of these terms are used against me [or I am made to feel they’re true], it feels extremely suffocating - like I’m being strangled.
These words become a branding. These words dehumanize me.
